No, our clocks are silent.
We assemble these clocks in our workshop. Once you receive your clock simply attach your pendulum and install a battery or batteries and let the fun begin.
Yes, they run on one or two AA batteries depending on the clock model.

I purchased this clock for my sister who has a cat rescue in Morton, Washington. There is a beekeeper who has several hives on the rescue’s property. I have to admit I was a little sad that there wasn't more assembly involved. (Wow, that's a first!) I called my daughter over so we could assemble it together, but there was only the tail really.
