Yes, they run on one or two AA batteries depending on the clock model.
Best thing I have hanging on my walls! No regrets! The hardest part was deciding which one to pick! In the end, it was a toss up between Chestnut (I LOVE squirrels!) and Violet. Violet won out because of her color. So beautiful! Easy assembly and keeps great time. I honestly can’t stop looking at her. She makes me smile!
Thank you Birch Robot!🩷

Hi Kelly, Aww such a nice pic! It’s wonderful to see how much joy your gift brought, and the seasonal touches make it even more special. We love knowing our designs are part of your celebrations, and we’re grateful you shared that happiness with us. 💛
I bought this as a gift for my sister who loves owls as well as the color mauve. She is very pleased with her clock. She is retired now so time means little to her at this point but maybe this will bring her back.
Got Violet the Owl for my 16 month olds room and she goes nuts every time she sees it. The clock is lite weight and runs on one battery. It was easy to put together and to get going and looks fantastic in her room! I love everything about this clock and would absolutely recommend getting something from Birch Robot (the beaver was a close second choice)
Awesome product 10/10
I redid my office to make a playroom for my two granddaughters that I now babysit a couple of days a week. I was so happy to put a clock in the room. I never thought I would find one as adorable as this one is it’s perfect.
Store owner replied:
That sounds like such a sweet setup, Patty. We are thrilled Violet found a happy home in your granddaughters’ playroom. Thank you! 🤗
The clock was exactly how it looks in the pictures, beautiful and sturdy! Can't wait to hang it up in my play cafe

Great for kids I guess, but even better for adults! Not just another boring timepiece. You can even buy hats to put on Violet the owl. We started with a Santa hat. Super creative and perfectly executed! A must have for those who want to brighten up their experience of keeping track of the time, pendulum and all!!!
Store owner replied:

Granddaughter’s Christmas gift
Product was received, beautifully packaged. I’m giving it as a gift so have taken it out and installed battery, pendulum needed as it is noisy without.
I purchased from Canada, so with shipping and exchange it added to the cost. It was worth every penny! I love it, design and color combo is exceptional!
Christmas Gift - Violet the Owl
I have not used the clock yet, as it is a Christmas gift. The ordering and shipping was without incident. (Canada - used USPS to avoid upcharges by UPS)
The clock is beautiful along with the accessory.

Cute Clocks for the Greater Good
Kenny and his clocks are THE BEST! Quality and customer service can't be beat. I currently own Popsy the Popsicle Cart and Violet the Owl, and I want to have a Birch Robot clock in every room of my home...maybe I need a bigger house. ,-) Plus, that means that my purchases have planted two trees--how great is that! Until that bigger house happens, I'll just have to buy more as gifts in the future. Very happy customer for life!

LOVE MY CLOCK!
I just love the style and look of these clocks. Had a hard time choosing, but ultimately let my daughter, whose wall it graces, have the final say. Love that they’re made in California. Love to be supporting a small local business making a high quality, beautiful product. I had trouble with my first clock in that after a few weeks the hour and minute hand would get stuck. Wrote Birch Robot, got an immediate response and a replacement clock was mailed out right away. Can’t get better service than that.
